Gasket product overview
Washers are commonly used in mechanical connection parts, usually located between the bolt or nut and the connected part, to disperse pressure, adjust the gap, prevent loosening and so on. There are many types of washers, including but not limited to flat washers, spring washers, lock washers, etc., and their materials, shapes and uses are different. Choosing the right gasket is essential to ensure assembly quality, reduce vibration and noise, and extend the life of machinery and equipment.
Action and type of gasket
The main function of the washer is to share and adjust the pressure of the connector, evenly distribute the stress point, and improve the firmness and reliability of the connection. At the same time, the washer can also prevent the connector from loosening due to vibration, reduce noise and friction losses, and extend the service life of the mechanical equipment.
Gaskets can be divided into many types depending on the material, shape and use. For example, flat washers are usually used to increase the contact area and protect the surface of the connected piece; Spring washers, due to their elastic properties, provide additional preload to prevent bolt loosening.
1. Flat washer
The flat washer is usually used in conjunction with the nut and is used between the nut and the connected part to protect the surface of the connected part from damage and make it more tightly connected. The flat washer is generally a flat metal ring, whose function is to increase the contact area, disperse the pressure, and prevent the soft parts from being crushed.
2. Spring washer
The spring washer is characterized by a certain elasticity, which can give the nut a force after tightening, increase the friction between the nut and the bolt, and play the role of anti-loosening. Spring washers are widely used in load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures of mechanical products, especially in parts that require frequent disassembly.
3. Lock washer
Through special structural design, such as double plate design with radial raised surface and inner bevel tooth surface, the lifting tension can be generated when the connector is subjected to vibration, thus achieving 100% locking effect.
4. Special washers
Special gaskets include sealing gaskets, spherical gaskets, square and diagonal gaskets, etc., which are used to meet the sealing requirements in specific environments. For example, sealing gaskets prevent leakage of liquids or gases and are suitable for piping systems, valves, pumps, etc.
Gasket product specifications and size rules
The specifications of the flat washer are usually 4 ~ 48mm, while the specifications of the spring washer are 3 ~ 48mm. The specific dimensions include inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness, etc. These parameters meet the national standard design requirements and related standards, such as GB96-85, GB93-76, GB93-87, GB859-87, GB7244-87.

Materials and properties
The choice of gaskets depends on the characteristics of the medium to which they are applied and the operating environment. For example, carbon steel washers are suitable for most conventional environments, while stainless steel washers are more suitable for more corrosive environments. In addition, there are gaskets made of materials such as aluminum, copper, Hastelloy, etc., which are suitable for different temperature, pressure and chemical properties.
Specification for packaging design and transportation of gaskets
We design the packaging of washers to ensure their safety during transport and storage, preventing physical, environmental or chemical damage. The choice of packaging materials is also very critical, such as the use of plastics, cartons, wooden boxes, etc., to adapt to different transport conditions. During transportation, we take great care to control the environmental conditions inside the container to maintain a dry environment.
